Dedicated to St. John the Evangelist, this 19th century church stands proudly in the village of Delabole. Built at the height of quarrying for local Delabole slate, it has a magnificent slate altar and candlesticks.
A small but faithful congregation meets each Sunday for worship services. It is also home to Coffee Stop each Wednesday morning when everyone is welcome to pop-in for a cuppa and a chat. Once a month Second Saturday Special (known as ‘Triple S‘) offers craft activities, games and stories (and cake) for young families.
The building is also availabe to the community for bookings for parties, clubs and events.
Like the other churches in the benefice there are strong links with the Methodist Church and other fellowships in the village with regular joint services throughout the year.
